A million years ago. That’s how long it seems since I found my first chronofact.
I knew there would be a chronofall around that area, and I convinced my buddy that I wasn’t totally nuts and to let me come on to his big ranch and let me take a poke around to look for the chronofact. I never thought I’d actually find it. But it was one of those cool winter Texas days where it’s nice to be out walking around anyway. When I actually saw it dangling there, you could have knocked me over with a feather.
When pKnot decoded my chronofact, I thought I’d bust. Do the rest of y’all feel like that? I couldn’t wait to hear what was on the other end of this thread that connected me to the future. A future. My future? I don’t know. Maybe, maybe not.
Since then, I’ve had the tremendous opportunity to listen to hundreds more of these dispatches from the futures. Some of them have tickled me. Some have horrified me. Some are mundane, and some are perplexing. I listen to them all with keen ears. In fact, you can tell, here – in this video, I’m on the other end of the phone with Sam, and we’re talking about some of the videos that have moved us.
As this chronofall wraps up, weirdly enough, we are getting in a whole slew of new voicemails. If you haven’t had a chance to poke around, go do it now! There are new business opportunities to be had, appointments to book, and museum displays to arrange. And many more.
Billy Dan, gettin’ a little maudlin as April 30 creeps ever-closer.
